Ruelas Co. is a leather goods studio rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless design.

Each piece is handcrafted in Oceanside, California, blending traditional Mexican artistry with refined construction to create objects made with soul and built to last.

Ruelas Co. is my way of honoring where I come from—and building something meaningful from it. My family is from Jalisco, Mexico—a region where tradition runs deep and craftsmanship is a way of life. We come from farmers, ranchers, and charros. Even after migrating to the U.S., the values of hard work, dignity, and artistry remained at the core of who we are.

Growing up, I was drawn to the objects passed down in my family: sombreros, saddles, belts—each marked by age, memory, and meaning. These weren’t just items. They were symbols of identity, crafted with care and made to last.

My journey into leathercraft began with books, quiet study, and relentless experimentation. Over time, I refined my practice sought master artisans to learn classic construction, floral tooling, and heritage methods like piteado, the embroidery of agave fibers into leather.

At Ruelas Co., every stitch, curve, and cut is done with intention. We make pieces to be lived with—carried through generations, and shaped by the stories they gather along the way.
